As of August 29, 2026, TakeCharge says the Oil-to-Electric Incentive Program is still accepting applications and describes incentives up to $22,000 for qualified homeowners. Do not lose tank details
Before disposal, TakeCharge advises applicants to capture the HOST tag number and tank serial number. Build that step into your plan before the tank is removed from the property.
Coordinate timing
The current TakeCharge page says pre-approved homeowners have 365 days from pre-approval to install eligible equipment, properly remove the existing oil tank, provide proof of tank removal, and submit required documents.
